Description:
6 young adults and youths travelling
to the community of Red Shirt on the
Pine Ridge Reservation in South
Dakota to work on a 3 week mission
program.
Aims:
To give participants a means to look
beyond themselves in a community
that is intentional, multicultural,
religious, and theological.
Provide a cultural experience
through the building of community
with one another as well as making
relations with the tribal members of
the Oglala Lakota Oyate.
Content:
Participants will travel from Los
Angeles to South Dakota and take
part in a community labour project.
Participants will spend one week in
Los Angeles prior to the journey to
Pine Ridge.
